This charity shop in bristol were looking to brighten their shop up a bit, I passed by with some drawings and they were happy to use them above the mens clothes. I Got some good experience out of it, and I’m glad they liked my caricatures!
I used arcylic paint and printable vinly
Had a great time at the St Werburghs Art Trail this year, would definatly do again and hopefully have more to sell!
For any artists looking to sell bits and peices, art trails are a good start. Some make good money doing them all year round!
After all that modelling I got the idea of creating a chimp or monkey head to be used as a flower pot. A nice practical way to create such a thing is maybe beyond me at the moment, but I’ve got a few ideas!
Although I’ve gone ahead and made a unified model of a chimp face, I think creating individual features like a mr potato decorating kit would work well. Instead I’m going to use an air drying modelling material and attach reproductioins of this clay model to a flower pot with glue.
This is the clay model with silicone poured over it. I’ll hopefully use this as a mould to create some positives with modelling material.
Quick post today, but I would love to dedicate a post to one about context of the work I’ve made recently.
I found this amazing wallpaper of a chimpanzee online and decided to make a stencil with it. I used a few adjustments on photoshop to change it to monochrome, and turned up the black levels until I had something that would work as a one part stencil.
I can definatly make some improvements on this, but hopefully keeping it as a one part job!
Part two coming soon
Get your monkey’s out!
